kings dominion

For my brother's birthday, my family and I went to Kings Dominion for the weekend with some more family in Virginia. It was a lot of fun and my bro, my dad and I rode all the crazy, super cool coasters and rides. I had a caricature picture made of me as an evil jedi... it's awesome. Five minutes before we left on Friday, UPS delivered my Fender 100w amp. I only had the chance to open it and smell it... not even take it out! So today I plugged it in and rocked it. It's great. Very comparable to my Tama drum set.

I wrote a villanelle.

Last Thursday after Fuel... me and Barry freakin rocked the place. I had taken my new double fat strat guitar to show everyone, and had plugged it into Barry's (very nice) tube amp. He asked to play with it and I let him, then I sat at the drums and Barry told me to play them with him. I think he wanted to see how much I had learned so far. Well, we rocked it. Everyone out in the hall turned their heads and came in to watch us. Barry got a little annoyed because my guitar kept falling out of tune (that's fixed now by the way) and I was dropping the sticks like crazy once I starting sweating. After rocking it hard for a while, we were about to wrap it up... then I smashed the snare head... oops. A little too hardcore maybe. It was so great though.

I want to submit poetry to CFCC's student publishing magazine in October.
